Biography
I started training in martial arts around 1986. I trained in Judo for around 3 months before my soccer times overlapped. I have always enjoyed playing sports and keeping fit and Judo seemed like a fun way to achieve this.

My introduction to Tae Kwon Do was with the AFTA in 1993 after a friend of mine who was a brown belt/black tip at the time introduced me to Tae Kwon Do. Again I always love playing sports and Tae Kwon Do seemed like something fun plus my friend was attending classes at Hornsby. After my first class I was hooked. I then joined the IMT in 1998 when my instructor at the time joined the IMT. I have been involved ever since.

Tae Kwon Do has become a part of me. I enjoy training and teaching. It’s a great way to relax after a hard day at the office. I always get a buzz after a good hard workout. No matter where I train I always find a friendly and welcome group of people.

I continue to train because I love the things I associate with Tae Kwon Do which is fitness, fun, self defence, a hard work out, a great group of people to train with and that no matter what I know I find I’m learning new skills every time I step on the mat. I quote I like is “It is not important to be better than someone else, but to be better than yesterday” and I believe that holds true with Tae Kwon Do.
