Biography
My journey into martial arts started in 2011 when I joined ATI martial arts club in Perth WA. I was a shy kid when I first try it but I found myself enjoying from those first classes.
From here on I would train with the ATI Club for next 3 years in their Olympic style of Taekwondo and by the end of 2013 I’d reached the rank of Black Belt. Unfortunately I would leave the club when I moved to Sydney at the start of 2014.
I would take a small break from martial arts and in mid 2014 I discover the IMT taekwondo club and here I would meet my long time mentor and fellow instructor Master Martin Vickery. Now with the IMT I trained, learnt and taught others in this modern style of taekwondo. It took me some time to adjust to this new style but I pushed on and in late 2019 all my hard work and dedication had awarded me with my 2nd Degree Black.
At first I learnt taekwondo to defend myself and those I care about but now after years of teaching and learning the arts I have gained a new appreciation for it where when I train I can allow my mind to rest after a long week of hard work. I hope that by teaching I can inspire a new generation of students that will find a passion for martial arts just as I have and I look forward to many more years of learning and continuous training.
